    KOBE Bryant has responded to Larry Nance jr regarding the Laker rookie's 2012 tweet that called the NBA superstar a "rapist".

    According to Baxter Holmes of ESPN, Bryant said he is not bothered by the issue that went viral after the 6-8 forward was selected as the Lakers' 27th pick in the NBA Draft out of Wyoming.

    Kobe on Nance Jr. tweet: "He was really nice and apologetic about what happened.” Kobe said he told him, "It’s water under the bridge, man."

    The 2003 case in Colorado has been dismissed but not before a much hyped trial that gained international attention.

    Nance found himself the subject of unwanted publicity after he made - and had since deleted - a 2012 tweet that has the hashtag 'rapist'in reference to the Laker superstar.

    Lakers General Manager Mitch Kupchak said they talked to the rookie about the tweet but maintained the two men should figure for themselves what to do about it.

    Kobe on Larry Nance tweet & talking to him about it: “There’s no need. The kid figured it out himself…He sent me a great message yesterday."
