Kobe claps back at fan who says he could've won zero titles had he been in LeBron's shoes

The Black Mamba’s competitive nature has continued to show even in retirement.

Kobe Bryant couldn’t help but reply to an NBA and San Antonio Spurs fan who argued on Twitter that Bryant wouldn’t have won a title if he had been in LeBron James’ shoes back when he was in the finals with Miami and Cleveland.

The fan made the argument in reaction to a Bleacher Report story where Bryant, part of a panel of retired NBA players, aired his opinion on how James’ 3-6 record in the finals affects his legacy.

“If I'm Bron, you got to figure out a way to win. It's not about narrative. You want to win championships, you just gotta figure it out,” Bryant said.

That’s when the fan retweeted the story with his own take, tagging Bryant and James.

“If @kobebryant was on the Heat/Cavs instead of @kingJames the past 6 years, and faced the 13', 14' Spurs & 15',16',17', 18' Warriors, hed have ZERO rings. Context is everything,” the NBA fan said.

But Bryant, a five-time champion and two-time Finals MVP, made a rebuttal to Salinas.

“WE had to face the Spurs EVERY post season pretty much. Not to mention the first super team in Boston but hey, what do I know,” Bryant replied in a post that he ended with shrugging man emoji.

So would Kobe have the same fate as LeBron? You decide.
