    Knicks crush Nets in first meeting this season

    THE Brooklyn Nets proved to be the real Big Apple busts after they fell to the New York Knicks 113-83 Thursday night (Friday, Manila time) in their first meeting of the season.

    The Knicks ended their nine-game losing streak as Carmelo Anthony posted a double-double performance with 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Iman Shumpert scored a season-high 17 points.

    Brook Lopez managed to put up 24 points despite playing with All-Star players Deron Williams and Paul Pierce.

    The Knicks (4-13) snapped a tie with the Nets (5-14) for most losses in New York in the nationally televised game.
