THE Sacramento Kings have finally reached a deal to trade longtime star De'Aaron Fox to the San Antonio Spurs and get Zach LaVine in return under a three-team trade that sees multiple players and draft picks changing hands.

The proposed deal, first reported by Shams Charania of ESPN, will have the high-scoring Fox teaming up with Victor Wembanyama to form a pairing that the Spurs top brass hope will bring back the glory days in San Antonio.
In return, the Kings, who reluctantly parted with their star after efforts to sign him beyond the final year of his contract next season were given the cold shoulder, get the rejuvenated LaVine as well as a horde of future draft picks.

The trade comes just three days before the NBA's trade deadline and less than a day after LA and Dallas got involved in a three-team trade that saw Luka Doncic join the Lakers and Anthony Davis the Mavericks.
Aside from LaVine, who is enjoying a big season after a couple of injury-plagued years in Chicago, the Kings also get guard Sidy Cissoko from the Spurs, three future first-round picks as well as three second-round picks.
The Bulls got back their 2025 first-round draft pick from the Spurs as well as Zach Collins and Tre Jones (from the Spurs) and Kevin Huerter (from the Kings) while Sacramento got Jordan Mclaughlin to go with Fox.
