Cavaliers make it five straight wins with rout of Pistons

THE Cleveland Cavaliers took control early and eased up in the endgame, posting a 116-88 rout of the Pistons on Monday in Detroit (Tuesday, Manila time).

Kevin Love showed the way, scoring 19 as the Cavaliers made it five straight wins and 10 in 17 outings for the season.

LeBron James scored 16 of his 18 points in the first quarter and the Cavaliers made 11 3-pointers in the first half.

Jae Crowder also had 18 points, while Jose Calderon added 14.

Jeff Green came off the bench to score 11 and Channing Frye chipped in with 10.

The Pistons could not get a win run going after beating the Timberwolves, absorbing their sixth loss in 17 games.

Tobias Harris scored 11, while Stanley Johnson and Reggie Jackson were the only other Pistons to score in double figures with 10 each.

Andre Drummond had eight points and eight rebounds in 25 minutes of action.
