THE Golden State Warriors have started a new win run going, but had to fight off a tough Pelicans squad to the last second for a 113-109 victory on Tuesday in New Orleans (Wednesday, Manila time).

The Warriors managed to find their range after falling behind early, but couldn’t put away the pesky Pelicans.

A Stephen Curry jumper gave the Warriors a 109-108 lead with and a layup made it a three-point lead with under two minutes to play.

But the Warriors again started to fire blanks, with Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Curry missing long shots, and simply couldn’t finish off the Pelicans.

Draymond Green hit a pair of free throws off a Langston Galloway foul with one second left for the final count.

It was the second straight win for the Warriors, who defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves after suffering a huge loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.

Curry finished with 30 points, Durant scored 27 and Thompson added 17 as Golden State notched its 22nd win in 26 games.

Green was the only other Warriors to score in double digits with 12 points.

Anthony Davis came up with 28 points and eight rebounds for the Pelicans, who were coming off a win over the Phoenix Suns.

Langston Galloway scored 20, while fellow reserve Tim Frazier had 13 for New Orleans, which absorbed its 18th loss in 26 games.
