KENTAVIOUS Caldwell-Pope hit a triple off an Ish Smith assist to cap the Detroit Pistons’ fightback from 16 points down to beat the Raptors, 102-101, on Sunday in Toronto (Monday, Manila time).

The Raptors looked in control in the third but went scoreless in two minutes early in the fourth, allowing the Pistons to move within six, 82-88.

Detroit continued to push and eventually got past the Raptors with Caldwell-Pope’s basket with 13 seconds left, helping the Pistons bounce back from a loss to the Spurs.

Caldwell-Pope came up with 21 points, going 8 for 22 in 41 minutes of action as the Pistons notched their 26th win in 55 games.

Tobias Harris led Detroit in scoring with 24, while fellow reserve Smith delivered 15 points.

The Raptors suffered their second straight loss and sixth in the last 10 games.

DeMar DeRozan scored 26 points on 10 of 21 shooting, while Jonas Valanciunas came up with 17 points and was a rebound shy of a double-double.

Kyle Lowry had 15 points, going 5 for 10, while DeMarre Carroll matched the output by making 6 of 9 field goal attempts for the Raptors, who absorbed their 23rd loss in 55 games.
