Kent Bazemore scored five straight points as the Hawks broke away from a tight game, taking a 70-65 lead and never looking back.
Bazemore wound up with 24 points on 8 of 13 shooting as the Hawks bounced back from a loss to the Boston Celtics.
Mike Dunleavy came off the bench to score 20 points, making 6 of 10 field goal attempts, as Atlanta notched its 23rd win in 30 games.
The Bucks saw their win streak end at two.
Giannis Antetokounmpo had 33 points on 13 of 22 shooting, while Greg Monroe came off the bench to deliver 13 points for Milwaukee, which absorbed its 19th loss in 39 outings.
