THE Charlotte Hornets ended the long run of futility, scoring a 111-107 win on Tuesday (Wednesday, Manila time) over the Brooklyn Nets, the same team they beat almost three weeks ago before going on a seven-game skid.

Kemba Walker scored 17 points on a miserable 4 of 20 shooting, while Nicolas Batum matched the output by making 7 of 18 field goal attempts, and also grabbed eight rebounds.

Marco Belinelli also came up with 17 points, coming off the bench to make 4 of 9 shots.

Jeremy Lamb added 19 points for Charlotte, which notched its 24th win in 52 games.

The Nets absorbed their 10th straight loss and 43rd in 52 outings.

Bojan Bogdanovic scored 22 points on 8 of 15 shooting, while Brook Lopez went 8 for 17 and wound up with 20 points.
