LAS VEGAS -- As it turned out, Kai Sotto's second DNP in as many Summer League games was predetermined.
And that's the coaching staff's absolute prerogative.
But what about the next game?
Orlando Magic head coach Dylan Murphy was quick to provide some clarity.
"Yeah, we're just playing it by ear. Always communicating with him ahead of time but like we talked about, everyone's gonna get an opportunity. So that's all we can do," he told SPIN.ph just outside the Orlando locker room at the Thomas and Mack Center.

After the Magic trailed by 25 points -- 61-36 -- at the 8:15 mark of the third quarter, one would wonder if coach Murphy entertained the thought of putting in Kai and mixing up the rotation.
Negative.
"Yeah, you know, it's just, we kind of set the plan before the game. But everyone will get their chance," he said.
