NEWLY crowned Fil-American NBA champion Jordan Clarkson had himself quite a July.
A month removed from winning a first career NBA championship with the New York Knicks, Clarkson didn't take long to return to the Knicks after signing a one-year US$ 3.9 million veteran's minimum.
The signing signalled how Clarkson is embracing his new role now as the club's veteran and floor spacer, far from his bucket-getting, high-scoring ways that won him Sixth Man of the Year honors when he was with the Utah Jazz.
Clarkson averaged 8.6 points in just 17 minutes per game in the 2025-26 NBA season, both career lows. However, by deciding to pick up the veteran's minimum with New York instead of looking for a bigger contract elsewhere, it's clear that Clarkson is at ease with his role with the Knicks.

The signing, however, wasn't the biggest news for Clarkson this month.
Last Monday, Clarkson was in the news once again after being reportedly escorted out at Zero Bond, a member's only night club in New York, alongside popular rapper Travis Scott.
While involved in the altercation, witness report stated that Clarkson was merely playing peacekeeper after Scott got into it with another guest where beer bottles reportedly flew.
As Clarkson was looking to deescalate, NYPD arrived onto the scene and escorted both him and Scott out of the party.
Thankfully, the incident ended without someone getting hurt or arrested and it looks like Clarkson won't be receiving any
