JORDAN Clarkson is aware Manny Pacquiao is passionate about basketball and he serves as playing-coach of KIA Motors.
And as member of the recent NBA All-Rookie First Team, the Los Angeles Lakers guard has one piece of advice to the Pacman when asked by a reporter on what facet of his game should be improved.
“Try to get a jumpshot,” said Clarkson, drawing laughs from the media that gathered around him for an interview.
“Work on his jumpers.”
The Fil-Am player however, admitted he still has to meet the 36-year-old boxing legend in person, which he hopes will happen soon.
“No, I haven’t met (Pacquiao). Yeah for sure (I want to meet him),” said Clarkson.
Asked about his thoughts on Pacquiao’s 12-round megabout against Floyd Mayweather recently, Clarkson said he felt the Filipino won the match, but added overall, it was a good fight between two future Hall of Fame fighters.
“I don’t know what people thought about the fight but I thought it was a good fight. It wasn’t as entertaining as people wanted it to be. The judges called the way they called it. It’s boxing,” said Clarkson about the match which the 38-year-old Mayweather won by unanimous decision.
Clarkson has been making a name for himself in the NBA following his stellar rookie season with the Lakers, who selected him in the second round (45th overall) of last year’s Draft.
