The Fil-Am guard also had a career-high eight triples, missing only twice from beyond the arc, as the Lakers notched their 21st win in 72 games, still bottom of the Western Conference.
Julius Randle had a double-double of 23 points and 12 rebounds, while D’Angelo Russel scored 15 on 3 for 9 shooting.
The Timberwolves absorbed their fifth straight loss and 43rd in 71 games.
Andrew Wiggins scored 36, making 14 of 28 field goal attempts.
Karl-Anthony Towns had 25 points and 13 rebounds, while Ricky Rubio also had a double-double with 19 points and 15 assists.
