    Jordan Clarkson has solid Cavs debut, Lebron flirts with triple-double in rout of Celtics

    JORDAN Clarkson had a solid debut with the Cleveland Cavaliers, scoring 17 points to help the East champions rip conference rivals Celtics, 121-99, on Sunday in Boston (Monday, Manila time).

    The Fil-Am guard, acquired in a trade with the Los Angeles Lakers on deadline day, shot 7 for 10 in 22 minutes of action.

    LeBron James scored 24, issued 10 assists and was two rebounds short of a triple-double as the Cavaliers made it three straight wins.

    The Cavaliers broke free from a tight start with a strong performance in the middle quarters, outscoring the Celtics 33-20 in the second and 31-22 in the third.

    Rodney Hood, another new acquisition from the Utah Jazz, came up with 15 points as the Cavaliers improved to 33-22.

    Terry Rozier came off the bench to lead the Celtics with 21 points. 

    Kyrie Irving had 18 points on 7 of 14 shooting, while Marcus Morris was the only other Celtics starter in double figures with 17.
