THE Utah Jazz notched a morale-boosting win ahead of the NBA restart, getting past the Miami Heat, 101-99, in a tuneup match on Saturday in Florida (Sunday, Manila time).
Fil-Am guard Jordan Clarkson made four triples, finishing with 17 points as the Jazz got things going after a loss to the Phoenix Suns in their first exhibition match.
Rudy Gobert also came up with a solid performance with a smaller support crew that included Clarkson, Mike Conley, Donovan Mitchell, Royce O’Neale and Emmanuel Mudiay.
Gobert, the first player found to have the coronavirus, went 8 for 9 and finished with 21 points.
Conley also had 17 points.
The Heat were without Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo.
Kelly Olynyk took the lead, finishing with 20 points, while Tyler Herro added 20.
The Jazz face the Brooklyn Nets in their final scrimmage, and take on the New Orleans Pelicans in the first official game of the NBA restart.
