THE Wizards held the New Orleans Pelicans scoreless in the final six minutes, posting a 105-91 victory on Saturday in Washington (Sunday, Manila time).

A Tyreke Evans triple off a Jrue Holiday assist gave the Pelicans a 91-90 lead but that proved to be the last basket for the visiting team and the Wizards went on to score their seventh straight win.

John Wall scored 24 points on 8 of 19 shooting as Washington notched its 30th win in 50 outings.

Marcin Gortat had a doble-double of 12 points and 17 rebounds, while Markieff Morris scored 18, making 6 of 16 field goal attempts.

The Pelicans scored only eight in the final period and suffered their fourth straight loss.

Anthony Davis had 25 points and 10 rebounds as New Orleans absorbed its 32nd loss in 51 games.

Terrence Jones came up with 15 points on 5 of 19 shooting, while Evans came off the bench to also score 15, going 6 for 16.
