    Wizards down Nets to make it back-to-back wins after two straight losses

    THE Wizards made it back-to-back wins after two straight losses, downing the lowly Brooklyn Nets, 129-108, on Friday in Washington (Saturday, Manila time).

    John Wall showed the way for Washington, which shook off a sluggish start, overcoming an early 4-13 deficit to improve their win-loss record to 44-28 and stay third in the Eastern Conference.

    Washington held Brooklyn scoreless in the last two minutes of the first to take control and held on to victory.

    Wall scored 22 points on 9 of 16 shooting, while Bradley Beal went 7 for 13 and wound up with 19 points.

    Brandon Jennings came off the bench to score 18 points and fellow reserve Bojan Bogdanovic came up with 17 markers.

    The Nets were stopped after posting their first two-game win streak of the season, and were dealt their 57th loss in 72 games.

    Justin Hamilton came off the bench to score 20 points, while starting forward Rondae Hollis Jefferson delivered 19 for Brooklyn.
