JOHN Wall scored 28 points and Bradley Beal added 25 as the Wizards defeated the Philadelphia 76ers, 120-115, on Wednesday night (Thursday, Manila time).
Wall went 10 for 28 and made eight assists, while Beal hit six of 17 field goal attempts.
The Wizards led by double digits in the third but the Sixers rallied to take a slim lead after Robert Covington hit a triple and made the assist on a JJ Redick trey, 93-92.
Washington recovered after the two teams traded baskets, with Wall and Marcin Gortat scoring back-to-back for a four-point lead and the Wizards held on for the win.
Covington wound up with 29 points.
Joel Embiid had 18 points and 13 rebounds, while Simmons also had a double-double with 18 and 10.
Fultz, who came off the bench, wound up with 10 points on 5 of 9 shooting.
