LAKERS guard Jordan Clarkson will participate in the Skills Challenge in the NBA’s All-Star Weekend in Toronto.
The Los Angeles Times confirmed on Thursday (Friday, Manila time) that the 23-year old Filipino-American was selected to take part in the Friday night (Saturday, Manila time) event on February 12.
Prior to the challenge, Clarkson and Lakers teammate D’Angelo Russell will also see action in the annual Rookie-Sophomore game where they will suit up for a Team USA squad that will go against a Team World composed of international-born players.
Also named to play in the event are Karl-Anthony Towns, Draymond Green, Anthony Davis, Patrick Beverley, CJ McCollum and Isaiah Thomas.
The Houston Rockets’ Beverley will return to defend the skills challenge title he won last season.
The skills challenge is described as a “three-round, obstacle course type” competition that will test a player’s dribbling, passing and three-point shooting skills.
