Clippers make it four straight wins with rout of struggling Heat

THE Clippers made it four straight wins, downing the Miami Heat, 98-86, on Sunday in Los Angeles (Monday, Manila time).

Chris Paul and JJ Redick led the way as the Clippers improved their win-loss record to 26-14.

The Clippers took charge in the second period, overpowering the Heat, 32-20.

Paul came up with a hue double-double of 19 points and 18 assists, while Redick led all scorers with 25 points, going 9 for 19 including 4 for 8 from beyond the arc.

Marreese Speights came up with 19 points, while fellow reserve Brandon Bass added 12 for the Clippers, who look to stretch the win streak when they host the Orlando Magic.

The Heat suffered their second straight loss and 28th in 39 outings.

Goran Dragic had 24 points, while Hassan Whiteside had a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds.

James Johnson and Tyler Johnson came off the bench to deliver 12 points each for Miami.
