MEYERS Leonard is pleased to be back in action along with Jimmy Butler as the Miami Heat started training in Orlando for the NBA restart.
Leonard said Butler is doing great as the Heat prepare for the season resumption at Disney Resort in Florida, according to the Sun Sentinel’s Ira Winderman.
The Heat and other teams have started training together days after arriving sports complex where the NBA is holding 88 seeding games before the playoffs.
Miami is running fourth behind Milwaukee, Toronto and Boston in the Eastern Conference.
Scrimmages start on July 22, with the Heat taking on the Sacramento Kings. They face the Utah Jazz on July 25 and Memphis Grizzlies on July 28, before the NBA season resumes.
The seeding games start July 30 with the Utah Jazz facing off with the New Orleans Pelicans and the Los Angeles Lakers battling the LA Clippers.
Miami’s first game of the season resumption is on Aug. 1 against the Denver Nuggets.
