Jimmy Butler scores 39 as Bulls down Pelicans to stretch streak to four

THE Chicago Bulls stretched their win streak to four, defeating the Pelicans, 117-11-, on Sunday in New Orleans (Monday, Manila time).

Jimmy Butler scored 39 for the Bulls, who took control early with a 28-21 first quarter.

The Bulls are in seventh spot in the East with a 38-39 record, just behind the Atlanta Hawks, who hold a 39-38 card.

Bobby Portis came off the bench to deliver a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds, while fellow reserve Joffrey Lauvergen scored 15.

Rajon Rondo had 10 points and was an assist shy of a double-double.

The Pelicans saw their win streak end at two, even as Boogie-Brow again came up with double-doubles.

Anthony Davis scored 30 and hauled down 11 rebounds, while DeMarcus Cousins wound up with 11 and 18.

Jrue Holiday had 17 points for the Pelicans, 10th in the West with a 33-44 mark.
