JIMMY Alapag has accepted an invitation to join the Sacramento Kings coaching staff in the NBA Summer League, according to reports.
The Kings have yet to announce who will handle their team in the Summer League in July, even as the club formed its coaching staff for the next NBA season.
Luke Walton will have Igor Kokoskov, Bob Beyer, Jesse Mermuys and Roy Rana as assistant coaches for the 2019-20 season.
In an interview with Carlo Pamintuan of ESPN5, the Alab Pilipinas coach and San Miguel assistant said he was invited to join the Kings' coaching staff in the Summer League by Sacramento general manager Vlade Divac.
Both Alapag and Divac are members of the Fiba Players’ Commission.
