SOON as James Harden signed with adidas last year, sneakerheads started anticipating the signature shoes for the Houston Rockets star under his new endorsement.
Adidas has finally revealed what the bearded baller will wear, along with fellow endorsers Kyle Lowry and Jeremy Lin: the adidas Crazylight Boost 2016.
“It’s really comfortable, performs well and has tremendous style,” said Harden of the new low top design that combines the three crucial elements he wants in a basketball shoe.
On the technical aspect, the latest Crazylights will have full-length BOOST cushioning, a first for the line. The outsole, on the other hand, will feature herringbone-styled traction.
The design also includes a loaded sprint plate to help with control during hard cuts. The three stripes on the heel cup provide additional stability as well as aesthetic appeal. A TPU forefoot roll cage creates added support for movement, while a woven upper, articulated tongue and neoprene fit cuff offer lightweight options on the upper.
The shoes will retail for $120 and will be released on July 2.
