JAMES Harden scored 40 points en route to a triple-double as the Houston Rockets snapped the Nuggets' four-game winning streak with a 109-105 victory Saturday night (Sunday, Manila time) in Denver.
Harden, who recovered from hard fall in the third quarter, had 10 rebounds and 10 assists.
With the Nuggets down 105-107, guard Will Barton missed a wild 3-pointer and a layup in the final 30 seconds.
Harden drew a foul in the waning seconds and hit two free throws as he reached 40 points for the second time in two nights.
Clint Capela had 16 points and eight rebounds while three Rockets reserves led by Nene Hilario scored in double figures.
Gary Harris led the Nuggets with 17 points while Nikola Jokic added 16. Jameer Nelson had 15 points and 11 assists.
