THE Rockets took control with a huge third quarter and cruised to a 123-108 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday in Houston (Sunday, Manila time).
James Harden led the way as usual for the Rockets, who overpowered the Grizzlies, 38=27, in the third and went on to notch their second straight win.
The Rockets recorded their 44th win in 63 outings.
Harden scored 33 points on 9 of 15 shooting, including 6 of 10 from beyond the arc.
Clint Capela came up with 24 points, making 8 of 14 field goal attempts, while Eric Gordon came off the bench to score 18 on 6 of 9 shooting from the 3-point line.
The Grizzlies absorbed their second straight loss and 27th in 63 games.
Mike Conley scored 23 and Jaylen Green came up with 20 points for Memphis.
