    Rookie Jamal Murray has career-high 30 as Nuggets keep playoff hopes alive with win over Pelicans

    ROOKIE Jamal Murray scored a career-high 30 points as the Nuggets ripped the New Orleans Pelicans, 122-106, on Friday in Denver (Saturday, Manila time).

    The Nuggets are just below the cutline in the Western Conference with a 38-41 win-loss record.

    The Portland Trail Blazers are in eighth spot with a 39-40 card.

    Murray played 38 minutes, making 10 of 14 field goal attempts.

    Nikola Jokic had 23 points and 12 rebounds, while Gary Harris had 20 points and was an assist shy of a double-double.

    The also-ran Pelicans absorbed their third straight loss and 46th in 79 outings.

    Anthony Davis had 25 points on 11 of 27 shooting, while Jordan Crawford came off the bench to deliver 20 points.

    DeMarcus Cousins missed the game due to a right Achilles tendonitis.
