NBA G League select team player Jalen Green will be one of the special guests of the NBA Republika Playoffs Party.
Green, a top rated high school recruit in the US, joins G League select team head coach Brian Shaw and three-time NBA All-Star Glen Rice for the event on Monday at 8 p.m. which will be livestreamed on NBA Philippines' Facebook page.
The 18-year-old is a frequent visitor to the country and is of Filipino descent, with his mom Bree hailing from Ilocos Sur.
He also played in the Philippines twice, during the NBTC National Finals in 2018 and 2019.
Shaw will speak for AXA Game Plan, where he'll discuss a wide range of topics from coaching tactics and philosophies to creating a game plan to deal with adversity and develop resilience.
"Being a part of this event is a testament to how the league continues to innovate and redefine the NBA experience for fans around the world,”said Shaw. “I’m excited to enjoy this event virtually with Filipino fans and share some of my own personal experiences from competing in the playoffs, both as a player and a coach."
Green will speak on Gatorade Path to Pro to tackle his journey to the NBA G League, while the Republika Dunk Off will see La Salle's Encho Serrano, Ateneo's Josh Lazaro and Adamson's AP Manlapaz compete, with viewers voting online for the winner of the competition.
Take Two will show the first NBA 2K21 official gameplay trailer for current generation consoles, as Rice reveals his playoff predictionss in the NBA Pick ’Em Playoffs Bracket Challenge presented by Vivo.
