ISAIAH Thomas had 21 points and eight assists, while Jaylen Brown scored 20 as the Celtics beat the Magic, 128-98, to send Orlando to its third straight defeat on Friday in Boston (Saturday, Manila time).
Thomas has scored 20 or more points in 30 straight games, the second longest in Celtics history behind John Havlicek who accomplished the feat in 40 straight games in the 1971-72 season.
The Celtics led by as many as 40 points en route to their second win in a row and its 12 straight victory against the Magic at TD Garden.
Marcus Smart had 11 of the Celtics’ 39 assists. Jae Crowder made 5 of 7 3-pointers and finished with to 19 points while Kelly Olynyk made all 7 of his baskets for 16 markers.
Nikola Vucevic and Damjan Rudez each scored 14 for the Magic which led by two points in the first quarter but was never really a threat.
Boston improved to 28-18 and third place behind the Toronto Raptors in the Eastern Conference while the Magic dropped to 18-30.
