ISAIAH Thomas scored 38 points, Marcus Smart had a season-high 22 and the Celtics beat the slumping New Orleans Pelicans, 117-108, on Saturday in Boston (Sunday, Manila time) for its fifth straight win.
Thomas was 6 of 11 on 3-pointers as the Celtics overcame a 10-point deficit in the first half.
Boston was up 57-53 at halftime and erupted with a 36-point third quarter to break the game wide open.
Gerald Green added 15 points for Boston and Kelly Olynyk added 12 markers.
Anthony Davis had 36 points and 15 rebounds while Langston Galloway added 20 off the bench for the Pelicans who have lost three in a row.
