ISAIAH Thomas had 29 points and five assists as the Boston Celtics won over the misfiring Utah Jazz, 112-104, on Saturday in Salt Lake City (Sunday, Manila time).
Thomas was four for seven from downtown and nine of 16 overall as six Celtics scored in double figures and the team shot 59 percent from the field.
Al Horford had 16 points and eight rebounds as Boston swept its season series against Utah. Marcus Smart added 10 points, five assists and three steals.
Boston had solid contribution from its bench with Kelly Olynyk finishing with 19 points, seven, rebounds and two blocks, while Gerald Green hit six of seven baskets for 16 points and James Young added 10 markers.
The Celtics (35-19) have won nine of their last 10 games and are running second in the Eastern Conference behind Cleveland.
Gordon Hayward scored 31 points for Utah, which lost its second straight. George Hill added 22 points, four assists and three steals while Rudy Gobert had 14 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks.
