INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Pacers coach Nate McMillan has added David McClure and Bill Bayno to his coaching staff.
The Pacers announced McMillan's full staff on Monday (Tuesday, Manila time). McMillan had said previously that assistants Dan Burke and Popeye Jones would return from the staff that helped out head coach Frank Vogel last season.
Bayno is a veteran assistant who has previously worked in the NBA at Toronto, Minnesota and Portland. He is widely respected for his work ethic and attention to the defensive end. Bayno also had a short but controversial stint as coach of the Talk 'N Text Phone Pals in the PBA from 2001 to 2002.
The 30-year-old McClure spent the last two seasons as a player development coach with the San Antonio Spurs, who have gained a reputation for developing coaches across the league. McClure played at Duke from 2005-09.
