JAMES Harden led the long-range onslaught as one of six Houston players with at least two triples in the Rockets’ easy win over the Phoenix Suns, 131-115, at the Toyota Center on Monday (Tuesday, Manila time).

The Rockets never trailed in taking control from the get go with a 14-4 spurt, with Harden and Montrezl Harrell combining for 11 points in that run to grab a 26-14 edge. Houston led by at least 20 starting at the 10-minute mark of the second quarter, 45-25, and held a 69-43 advantage at the half.

Houston then unleashed a 12-4 run to open the third to build its largest lead, 81-47. The Rockets still led by 29 with 8:23 remaining, before Phoenix tried to mount a futile comeback as they only got as close as 16 even with Harden and the Rockets starters sitting out most of the fourth quarter.

Harden led the way in the Rockets romp with 32 points, 12 assists and five rebounds to improve to 23-9. Ryan Anderson and Eric Gordon both sank three triples each to finish with 15 markers apiece. Harrell added 14 in starting for the injured Clint Capela.

Phoenix fell to 9-22 despite having six players in double figures. Eric Bledsoe finished with 24 points, while Brandon Knight had 21 off the bench. Devin Booker added 16 markers but struggled with just 6-of-18 shooting from the field.
