CENTER Roy Hibbert will remain with the Indiana Pacers.
The Indianapolis Star reported that Hibbert has agreed to stay with the Pacers instead of moving to the Portland Trail Blazers.
Multiple sources said the Blazers offered Hibbert a four-year US$58 million contract right after the start of the free agency period.
The deal won’t be official until the moratorium ends on July 11.
In other free agency news, the New York Knicks have acquired Marcus Camby through a sign-and-trade deal with the Houston Rockets.
Steve Novak will remain with the Knicks.
Meanwhile, Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade underwent surgery on his left knee after a nagging injury had hampered him during the playoffs.
