Series level as King James turns on heat

    Jun 15, 2012

The Miami Heat squandered a huge lead before holding on to beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 100-96 on Friday and tie the NBA Finals at one game apiece.

LeBron James scored 32 points for the Heat, who held a 13-point fourth-quarter lead but had to ward off a furious rally by the Thunder.

Durant had a chance to tie the game with 10 seconds remaining but missed his baseline shot from seven feet. It was the Thunder’s first loss in Oklahoma City this postseason.

Dwyane Wade added 24 points, while Chris Bosh scored 16 and hauled down 15 rebounds for Miami.

Durant led the Thunder with 32 points and Russell Westbrook had 27.
