    Heat lose Waiters early to injury but get a new win run going with rout of  Timberwolves

    THE Heat made it back-to-back wins, downing the Minnesota Timberwolves, 123-105, on Friday in Miami (Saturday, Manila time).

    Hassan Whiteside had a double-double of 23 points and 14 rebounds as the Heat notched their sixth win in the last seven games.

    Dion Waiters left game with an ankle injury in the second quarter. He had six points and three assists.

    Goran Dragic also had a double-double of 19 points and 10 assists, as the Heat recorded their 34th win in 69 games.

    Tyler Johnson scored 23 and fellow reserve James Johnson added 17 for the Heat.

    The Timberwolves absorbed their second straight loss and 40th in 68 games.

    Karl-Anthony Towns scored 31 and pulled down 11 rebounds, while Andrew Wiggins added 25 points.

    Ricky Rubio had 20 points for Minnesota.
