HASSAN Whiteside scored 21 points and pulled down 14 rebounds as the Heat defeated the Nets, 121-100, in a preseason game on Tuesday in Miami (Wednesday, Manila time).
Goran Dragic also had a double-double, scoring 17 points and dishing out 11 assists as Miami scored its second win in three games.
Four other Heat players scored in double figures, handing the Nets their second loss in three outings.
Wayne Ellington and Tyler Johnson had 14 points each, Dion Waiters scored 12 and Derrick Williams added 10 for Miami.
Jeremy Lin led the Nets with 16 points.
