HARRISON Barnes scored nine of his 26 points in the fourth quarter as the Mavericks beat the Washington Wizards, 113-105, on Tuesday in Dallas (Wednesday, Manila time).
The Wizards trimmed a double-digit deficit to five, 110-105 with 24 seconds left when Barnes took the extra pass from Wes Matthews for the triple.
It was the 11th win for the Mavs who enjoyed a good shooting night, making 17 3-pointers in the game.
Washington was up 88-87 before the Mavericks opened the fourth quarter with an 11-2 run.
The Wizards closed the second quarter with a 20-3 run for a 67-61 advantage at the break.
Deron Williams was 4 for 7 from downtown and finished with 21 points for Dallas. The reserves delivered for the Mavs as Devon Harris made four triples for 17 points while Seth Curry had 16 markers, going 4 of 5 from beyond the arc.
John Wall had 27 points and eight assists, Bradley Beal had 25 markers and six assists in the Wizards’ second straight loss.
