JAMES Harden scored 16 of his 28 points in the final period after returning from a sprained ankle injury to lead the Houston Rockets to a 111-98 victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday (Thursday, Manila time).
The Rockets improved to 2-0 against the Spurs this season, both road wins. They also moved within 3½ games of San Antonio (22-7) for the Southwest Division lead.
Dwight Howard added 15 point and 20 rebounds. Chandler Parsons and Terrence Jones scored 21 apiece for the Rockets. Jeremy Lin finished with 13 points and eight assists.
Manu Ginobili led San Antonio with 22 points off the bench. Tim Duncan had 11 points and 14 rebounds. Kawhi Leonard scored 13 points. Tony Parker finished with just six points after a dismal shooting night.
