TALKS with the Memphis Grizzlies about a possible transfer of Nets guard Joe Johnson have apparently fallen through, but Brooklyn seems confident it can find a team that will take the All-Star guard-forward and his huge contract.
According to ESPN’s Mark Stein, the Nets and Grizzlies could not come up with a deal for Johnson, set to get $24.9 million in the final season of a six-year deal. That is the second-biggest pay for this season, behind only Kobe Bryant’s $25 million.
