THE Memphis Grizzlies clamped down on defense in the second half to put away the Detroit Pistons with a 112-84 win on Sunday (Monday, Manila time).
Zach Randolph finished with 16 points and 16 rebounds for Memphis, who used the burly forward in challenging the Piston's zone defense. Second-year player Jon Leuer finished with 23 points and eight rebounds. Six Grizzlies finished in double figures.
Detroit is on a four-game skid, including five straight losses at home. The Pistons missed 16 of 20 second-half jump shots, managing just 28 points in the last two periods.
Greg Monroe scored 19 points, while Andre Drummond added 15 points and 14 rebounds for Detroit. The duo combined for eight points in the second half.
