Griffin gets better of power forward battle as Clippers win in Minnesota

    Nov 21, 2013

BLAKE Griffin got the better of the power forward battle against Kevin Love of the Minnesota Timberwolves as the Los Angeles Clippers won, 102-98 on Wednesday night (Thursday, Manila time).

It was also a record-breaking night for Chris Paul, whose 20 points and 11 assists translated to his 12th straight double-double to open the season which broke the previous mark of 11 straight set by Magic Johnson in 1990-91. Paul’s 16 points in the fourth quarter helped extinguish a late run by the Timberwolves.

Love, who had a dismal shooting night, finished with 10 points while teammates Kevin Martin had 28 points and 10 rebounds and Nikola Pekovic had 20 points and seven rebounds.
