    Utah Jazz get back on track with victory over Trail Blazers

    THE Utah Jazz got back on track with a 108-87 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday in Salt Lake City (Wednesday, Manila time).

    Gordon Hayward showed the way for the Jazz, who scored the first nine points but allowed the Blazers to fight back and take the lead 31-30 in the second.

    The Jazz, coming off a loss to the San Antonio Spurs, recovered and built a double-digit lead, 43-33, and held on for their 48th win in 78 games, fourth in the Western Conference behind the Golden State Warriors, Spurs and Houston Rockets.

    Hayward finished with 30 points, making 12 of 20 field goal attempts, while Rudy Gobert had 20 points and 11 rebounds.

    Joe Johnson had 13 points off the bench for Utah.

    The Blazers absorbed their second straight win and 40th in 78 games.

    CJ McCollum scored 25, Damian Lillard had 16 points, while Al Farouq Aminu chipped in with 11 for the Blazers.
