GORDON Hayward scored a career-high 39 points as the Utah Jazz defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves, 120-113, on Friday in Salt Lake City (Saturday, Manila time).
The Jazz scored their second straight win and fifth in the last six games, running fourth with a 49-30 win-loss record.
Hayward went 14 for 22, including 4 of 5 from beyond the arc, while Joe Johnson came off the bench and came up with 22 points on 8 of 10 shooting.
Rudy Gobert went 7 for 9 and wound up with16 points for Utah.
The Timberwolves absorbed their third straight loss and 48th in 79 outings.
Karl-Anthony Towns had 32 points and 13 rebounds, while Ricky Rubio also had a double-double of 26 points and 12 assists.
Andrew Wiggins added 25 points for Minnesota.
