Boris Diaw hit the go-ahead triple with over three minutes to play and the Jazz went on to score their fourth straight win.
Rudy Gobert had a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds, while Gordon Hayward led the Jazz I scoring with 22.
Diaw wound up with 11 points as Utah notched its 18th win in 28 games.
The cold-shooting Grizzlies suffered their second straight loss.
Memphis shot 30 percent, with Mike Conley going 3 for 16 and ending up with 14 points.
Zach Randolph came off the bench to score 12 points, making 5 of 13 shots from the field, as the Grizzlies absorbed their 11th loss in 29 games.
Marc Gasol also had a tough night, going 4 for 22 and finishing with just eight points.
