PINOYS hold a special place for the Golden State Warriors.
The official Facebook of the Warriors on Friday posted a photo thanking Filipinos for their massive support for the NBA ballclub on the popular social media page.
"DALAWANG MILYONG FACEBOOK FANS SA 'PINAS! SALAMAT PO, #DUBNATION!", said the message printed with the likeness of the Philippine flag in the background and the Golden State Bay Bridge logo at the center of the eight-rayed sun. The Warriors' currently have 5.56 million followers on Facebook. The post has garnered almost 56,000 "likes" and more than 4,000 shares.
The current NBA champions also drew a lot fo fans after their star player Stephen Curry visited Manila last September as part of his Under Armour Road Show Asian Tour.
The team is based in the San Francisco Bay Area which is home to close to 500.000 people of Filipino descent. Golden State has been one of the few NBA teams to host annual Filipino Heritage Nights.
