EVER since he arrived in Manila, NBA legend Glen Rice has been looking for retired PBA star Allan Caidic.
It was seven years ago that “G$” and “The Triggerman” were teammates on the Red team in the 2010 NBA Asia Challenge, an exhibition game at the Araneta Coliseum.
Rice, the 1995 NBA three-point shootout champion who also led the NBA in three-point field goal accuracy in 1997, was left impressed after the then 47-year old Caidc hit 14 three-pointers in 24 minutes to score 54 points.
A reunion would be nice, Rice said in previous interviews.
Rice’s wish was granted after he finally met up with Caidic at the NBA Viewing Party and Pop-Up NBA Store event at the BHS Globe Amphitheatre on Sunday morning as part of the US league's Filipino Heritage Week celebration.

The two-time All-Star was genuinely surprised to see Caidic whom he gave a warm embrace. Rice said earlier that he thought he wasn't going to get to reconnect with Caidic and was just planning to send a tweet as a shout out.
Caidic gave Rice a copy of his self-titled book as a gift. The two legendary shooters talked about the featured game between the Golden State Warriors and the Milwaukee Bucks and sat down as they reconnected.
During the day, Rice engaged a fan in a shootout on a basketball arcade game.
At the pop-up store selling NBA merchandise, Rice said,“The Michael Jordan jersey is my favorite one!” As the prime scorer for the Miami Heat and the Charlotte Hornets, the 6-8 Rice engaged His Airness in several memorable scoring matches in the Eastern Conference.
Also at the event were PBA player JC Intal, actress Bianca Gonzalez-Intal, model-host Rovilson Fernandez and Jr. NBA Alumni.
