Giannis Antetokounmpo had 34 points and 13 rebounds as the streaking Milwaukee Bucks held off the slumping Atlanta Hawks for a close 100-97 victory at the Bradley Center on Friday night (Saturday, Manila time).
Milwaukee, winners of 11 of its last 13 games, have tied Atlanta for fifth place in the Eastern Conference. Atlanta has lost six in a row.
Atlanta had one last chance to send the game to overtime but Ersan Ilyasova missed a contested 3-pointer as time expired.
Greg Monroe tallied 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Bucks, while Malcolm Brogdon added 14 points and seven assists.
Dennis Schroder had 28 points for the Hawks. Tim Hardaway Jr. added 25 while Dwight Howard finished with 20 points and 12 rebounds.
