THE Charlotte Hornets took control early and held on to beat the Kings, 99-85, on Saturday (Sunday, Manila time) and snap a five-game skid.
Frank Kaminsky led the way for the Hornets, who scored the game’s first 12 points and went on to score their 25th win in 58 games.
The Hornets were up by 11 at the half and the lead ballooned to 23 late in the fourth, 92-69.
Kaminsky scored 23 points and pulled down 13 rebounds, while Marvin Williams came up with 16 points.
Nicolas Batum had 15 points, Marco Belinelli came off the bench to deliver 13 points and Kemba Walker scored 12 on 5 of 12 shooting.
The Kings, coming off a win over the Denver Nuggets, suffered their 34th loss in 59 games.
Ben McLeMore scored 18 and Buddy Hield had 15 points for Sacramento.
