CLEVELAND -- Every seat in the house - 20,562 strong - was taken at Quicken Loans Arena where faithful wine and gold fans flocked to support their beloved Cleveland Cavaliers during the NBA Finals against the reigning and defending champions Golden State Warriors.
Per vividseats.com, tickets to see the action ranged from $254 at the upper level and $8,985 at the more swanky floor seats.
As is the case when titans meet in basketball's most popular battleground, celebrities converge. And that was the norm in Game Three.
Among those who showed up was Khloe Kardashian, who recently gave birth to Tristan Thompson's daughter. The couple has been in the news lately due to his alleged infidelity but Khloe was there in Game Three, standing by her man.
Savannah Brinson, queen to King James, was there as well. Fans pleaded her to encourage LeBron to stay in Cleveland and she gave an earnest smile.
Anderson Varejao, who played 12 seasons in Cleveland during his 14-year NBA career, returned to his former stomping grounds and was well-received by the fans who loitered by the back entrance of the arena. When asked who he was rooting for, Varejao, who also played briefly for the Warriors, only wished for a "great and healthy game."
Dell Curry turned heads when he entered through security. The father of Steph Curry, Dell played 15 seasons in the NBA and is now a broadcaster for the Charlotte Hornets.
Legend-turned-author Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was there, too. He is the NBA's all-time leader in points with 38,347. He is also a six-time league MVP and six-time NBA champion. The now 71-year old Hall-of-Famer was impossible to miss with his 7-foot-2 frame and the recognizable face. Though he played for the Milwaukee Bucks early in his career, the man with the deadly, unstoppable sky hook will always be remembered as a Laker.
Joe Thomas, a former linebacker of the Cleveland Browns of the NFL, was among the sports stars who showed up. So did a few players from the Cleveland Indians, who play next door at the Progressive Field.
